The Teen Writer Mentorship at Ms. Libby’s Lab offers young storytellers a space to talk openly about their ideas, creative goals, and future possibilities in writing. Sessions focus on building consistent creative habits, understanding the writing and publishing landscape, and developing confidence in their voice.

This mentorship gives teens a place to explore what a life in writing could look like with guidance from someone who understands both the creative process and the professional world behind it.

Who This Mentorship Is For

This program is a good fit for teens who:

• Enjoy writing and want thoughtful conversation around their work
• Want help developing a sustainable writing habit
• Are curious about publishing, contests, or literary magazines
• Want a mentor who understands how creative minds work

No prior experience is required. Curiosity and interest are enough.

What Sessions Look Like

Each session is shaped around the student’s interests and goals and may include:

• Open discussion of story ideas, characters, and inspirations
• Support with confidence, routine, and creative roadblocks
• Goal-setting and accountability for developing writers
• Guidance on publishing pathways and next steps
• Recommendations for contests, journals, and beginner-friendly submissions
• Help building a writing portfolio for applications or submissions

There are no required assignments unless the student requests them. This mentorship is built around engagement, not pressure.

Getting Started

Reach out to discuss your teen’s needs and confirm scheduling availability. A free fifteen-minute goal-setting call is available before enrollment.

Refund and Rescheduling Policy

All enrollments are final. Due to the personalized nature of this program, refunds are not available after payment.

Once a schedule is confirmed, it is considered firm. Each student may reschedule one session per cycle with at least three hours’ notice. Missed sessions beyond this cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
