This service is for students who have written poetry and want professional-level editing to help learn how to strengthen their writing. Students may submit up to five poems at a time.

I’ve worked as a writer and editor and have reviewed countless student poems in academic and workshop settings. I also bring years of experience focusing on personal and creative writing. This means I can spot where a poem is doing too much, not enough, or veering off course.

I don’t just edit, I teach. I flag vague language, structural issues, and tonal inconsistencies. I point out weak openings, padded sections, and unclear images. The goal is clarity, coherence, and a final set of poems that sound like the student.

• Margin notes on structure, tone, and clarity
• Summary of key edit suggestions and next steps
• One additional edit after student revision (this is a process)

Once the order is placed, you will receive detailed instructions on how to submit the poems. Turnaround time is up to one week for each set of edits.
